I dislike the cemetery so much, I absolutely hate going there, For starters they have a pond in the middle of the cemetery. There are tons of ducks or geese there, who are constantly wandering around the grave sites. Every time you finish visiting the grave of your loved one, the bottoms of your shoes are filled with duck or goose feces. You have to take something along to scrape it off your shoes before you even attempt to get back in your car!!!
Secondly, you have to go out there twice a month, to either put flowers on the gravesite and then again to remove them before the first working day, following the 5th day of each month. If you don't remove the flowers they are thrown in a pile, at a designated site. You of course can go out there and dig through them to find your decorations if you choose. Nice cemetery flowers are not cheap, so you need to pick them up every month. Also If you don't live close to the cemetery, that can be a real burden, say nothing about the cost of gas
to drive out there. They of course will put flowers out & pick them up monthly for a nice little fee of $40.00 per month!!
Right now the grounds should be beautiful with nice green winter rye grass. I personally have winter grass in my own back yard which is green & luscious right now. As I drove into the cemetery yesterday, a lot of it is half dead and looks like a cemetery that might be for the homeless or the unknown. When you have to pay the unbelievable amount they require for a grave site, one would think it would be almost as beautiful as Arlington cemetery!!!!
My best advice to anyone thinking of buying a plot out there, needs to go out there and see it for yourself. See if what I am saying is true or not!!! It might make you think twice!!!!!

  • What a beautiful well kept cemetery this is. Built around a lake with swans, a fountain, beautiful landscaping and an amazing compassionate staff to top it all off. Thank you for being there Messingers!

  • We interred my beloved father 30 years ago. Every time I visit I find the same beautiful grounds, so well maintained, we are still glad we chose this for his resting place.
